We’ll all ready for the warm weather to get here.

But It’s February, and we’re still in Mardi Gras season.

So there’s still a few more weeks of fun. (And moonpies!)

Here’s something you might not know.

Yesterday was Groundhog’s Day and good ‘ole Punxsutawney Phil – that’s the Groundhog – didn’t see his shadow.

So that means you’re going to see an early Spring!

Yay!

In the meantime, we can’t make the clock go faster.

But we can do this.

While you’re waiting for the warm weather, we’re offering something special to the fans of the Pelican Reef who enjoy the warm weather with us.

It’s our handpicked dishes this month.

First, you should know this.

We’ve finally brought back one of the most in-demand dishes of all time.

No one knows exactly how this dish got started here, but we do know that everytime it’s on the menu, there’s a rush of people who come over just to order this one appetizer.

Do you know what it is?

It’s the Shrimp spring roll.

It’s a handcrafted combination of creole spices, fresh chopped shrimp, soft cream cheese and thinly diced scallions into a delicious stuffing…wrapped in a fluffy pastry dough into the perfect size roll… then lightly fried until the outside is golden brown crispy and the warm insides are gushing.
Served to you three to a plate while they’re hot with a side of tangy Thai chili sauce. All for only 7.99.

This dish is ranked 10 out of 10 by your taste buds.

But that’s not all.

For those of you who have eclectic taste and want something else, here’s everything else we’re serving this month.

****Chicken or Shrimp Quesadilla
A fully toasted tray of taste. We sauté fresh red and
green bell peppers and onions, add chicken or shrimp,
then throw in mozzarella and cheddar cheese. It’s
toasted until golden brown and delicious. Served with
our Chef’s own special Jazzy Sauce.

It’s a a favorite that always pleases 12.99

****Oyster Rockefeller
This famous dish originated in New Orleans. Our take is
our special Pelican Reef filling over the oyster, topped
with Parmesan cheese and garlic. We prepare a light
crème sauce that highlights the oyster and the Parmesan
cheese. Served 6 at a time directly to your table.

***Chargrilled Oysters … grilled makes them better 12.99
If you’re a fan of oysters, then you’ll love the taste of these. You get 1/2 Dozen oysters that are grilled over a medium to high heat. Then topped with Parmesan cheese, butter, and a hint of garlic. Served to you on a platter.

****The Reef Steamed Platter
Specially prepared platter of the best seafood on Fowl
River. Comes with crab legs, steamed shrimp, mini sausage, mushrooms, corn, and potatoes. Served hot with garlic butter and a napkin.

This entree has a little bit of almost everything. It’s a little something for everyone 19.95

**** Jazzy Soft Shell Crab
Is there anything more mouth-watering than a fried soft shell crab? We take a soft shell crab, double batter it, then cover with panko bread crumbs. It’s lightly fried until golden brown and crispy. Served over a bed of white rice and our special crab creme sauce. Served with your choice of side.

If you’ve never tried fried soft shell crab, this is the dish for you. 14.95

***Blackened Snapper
A snapper fillet generously sprinkled with Pelican Reef and New
Orleans blackened seasoning. Seared on high heat and then served with a crawfish creme sauce and sautéed shallots. Comes with two sides.

A delicious dish. 19.95

***Fried Green Tomato BLT

The traditional sandwich with a Southern twist. We take the bacon and lettuce, then create a special Pelican Reef twist by adding a golden brown fried green tomato. Sandwich is served on grilled Texas toast. We expect our version of this sandwich will soon be copied by everyone. 10.95
